Failed: Value cannot be null – When Validating SVN Connection with usermap file

Issue:

  • Subversion connection information has been entered.
  • Created a usermap file.
  • Clicked on Test Subversion.
Output may be similar to:
Testing SubVersion connection...
Connecting to SubVersion... Connected.
There are 21484 revisions.
Loading user map file...
Searching involved users from r1 to r21484... (this might take a while)
jdoe (User not mapped)
sdoe (User not mapped)

Failed: Value cannot be null.
Parameter name: key

Cause:

Users listed in the usermap file do not match all of the users in SVN.

Resolution:

Check the list of users accessing SVN which can be found at:
…\Apache2.2\conf\pass\repos_auth
And make sure that they are all covered by your usermap file.

See: Creating the User Map file.

I'm having a similar problem but instead of

administrator (User not mapped)
Failed: Value cannot be null.
Parameter name: key

I get (user not mapped text is missing)

administrator
Failed: Value cannot be null.
Parameter name: key

Does this mean that this user isn't associated or author of a file in the repository?

I'm stumped.
